Carrer de Nàpols, Barcelona hide text
A short distance from the Sagrada Familia in the Eixample quarter of Barcelona, the building is occupying a prominent corner site. Inhabiting an existing structure, and responding to the oblique cut of the floor plan, the cladding of the facade is folded in and out, reflecting the playful and rich barcelonese architecture. It is characterized by ceramic tiles, which remind to the typical barcelonese fabric shadings, often seen in the historic quarter. The jumping and folded facade tiles provide behind french windowes and hidden loggias. The habitants can take advatage of a large roof terrace with a community pool.
